Siren

Been thinking about a few long term projects the last month or so. I'll be posting here and there with projects in between. In the meantime I thought I'd get this one out of the way.

Edit: This is the original orientation of the painting. Adi Granov mentioned that the above composition and cropping killed the mood and flow of the piece and now that I look at it he's right (I just started drawing and fleshing out the final without enough planning beforehand). While the cropping is still tight in a few places, the version below seems more energetic in terms of how the eye goes through the composition. Thanks to Adi for catching that.

THe only thing I would do is to darken some of the receding areas just enough for depth.

Thanks all! You're probably right Dan, but I think I'll leave this one as is and move on to better things. Wasn't particularly concerned with depth on this one as a lot of it is pretty flat, but you have a good eye.
